AN ANIMATED video has been specially produced to help explain the BID’s 42-page Business Plan in less than three minutes!
The video, which gives a graphic, potted guide to the plan to spend £2.5 million on improving the city centre over the next five years, has been added to the BID website (bradfordbid.co.uk) alongside a film showcasing the launch event at the National Science+ Media Museum, which attracted more than 150 people.
“We wanted to give people a really quick, easy and visual way to grasp what the BID is all about and, hopefully, encourage them to find out more,” said BID chairman Ian Ward.
“We’ve also produced a pocket-sized, fold-up leaflet – the Small Guide to a Big Plan – which people can use as a quick reference to the key points.”
The full-size Business Plan is also now available on the website, along with downloads of the regular BID newsletters, samples of some of the extensive press and media coverage and all the latest BID news and developments.
“It’s all about communication,” said Mr Ward. “The BID must be a transparent process and it’s extremely important that we explain every aspect of both the process of producing the business plan – how we got to be where we are – as well as the next steps and how they will unfold.
“Transparency is one of the key, founding principles of the whole BID movement and we want as many people as possible to be confident in their understanding of what the BID entails so they have no hesitation in voting Yes when the ballot takes place.”
